CRC ENERGY EFFICIENCY SCHEME

The CRC or CRC Energy Efficiency Scheme was introduced into the UK to manage/ control CO² emissions arising from UK industry. S. Norton & Co Ltd. is a participant in the scheme due to its energy consumption as a result of its recycling processes. Through the scheme we are able to demonstrate continued commitment to reducing CO² emissions due to the disincentive tax which is applied to each tonne of CO² we release as a result of our operations. We want to continue our contribution to recycling rates in the UK whilst reducing our CO² emissions; therefore it is important for business like ourselves to focus on improving efficiency, where practicable, to ensure both objectives can be met.
